The staff at Villa St. Clair was honored to host Jessica Hestand and Austin Arceneaux’s wedding on November 7th, 2015. With the recent rainfall, the ceremony took place inside in front of our beautiful stained glass window. The charming couple’s theme was classical and traditional with shades of ivory and pink. Austin’s outgoing personality combined with Jessica’s sweet sincerity meshed to make this evening a night to remember!
Jessica’s bridesmaids wore light pink dresses in different styles – some were strapless, some V-neck, and one shouldered. As for the men, they looked dashing in head-to-toe in black, as requested by Austin. Jessica’s dress had a lovely sweetheart neckline with a ruched fit and flare body. As the bridal party walked down the aisle, Austin was eager to see his soon-to-be bride!
One of our favorite aspects of their wedding was the décor that the couple chose. During the ceremony lanterns were along the edge of the aisle, creating a warm look. At the ceremony, the head table was covered with ivory linens and had silver candelabras full of greenery, roses, and hydrangeas. The guest tables had champagne linens and cascading pale pink flowers from an ivory lantern. To create a unique look, the couple also chose to hang Edison bulbs from the ceiling in front of the stained glass window. The combination of lights used gave the ballroom a warm glow.
Once Jessica and Austin became Mr. and Mrs. Arceneaux, guests enjoyed an antipasto display in the cocktail area. Chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon as well as chicken salad on an apple slice was also passed around for the guests to snack on. After the bridal party made their entrance into the reception hall, Mr. and Mrs. Arceneaux were announced and had their first dance to CBlack’s “When I Said I Do.” Shortly after, it was time for dinner to be served. The delicious meal started with our house salad served with Italian marinated chicken breast and grilled pork tenderloin with Dijon gravy. Then, it was time for toasts. Jessica’s maid of honor (and sister) expressed how happy she was that Jessica found her soul mate. Austin’s best man gave a touching speech honoring Austin’s father who passed away. After the speeches, the dance floor was opened up to guests, and the party began! The whole crowd was dancing and enjoying the music. Soon it was time for the newlyweds to cut the cake. The couple chose a carrot four-tier cake that had different textures on each layer. The DJ kept everyone dancing and having fun until it was time for the happy couple to make their grand exit! Their friends and family showered them with sprinkles as they made their way to the limo.
We are so happy and excited for these two, and wish them a lifetime of happiness! Jessica and Austin, thank you so much for sharing your special day with Villa St. Clair.
