Clay and Nicholette celebrated their big day at Villa St. Clair on October 26th. Their romantic wedding had a lot of floral touches and we definitely had a blast hosting it. With the rain falling slowly all night, the indoor ceremony and reception were perfectly cozy.

Nicholette’s satin ballgown dress had beaded straps and a beautiful train. Her bridesmaids wore red dresses in different styles, while her maid of honor — who was her sister— had a cream lace detail on the top of her dress. Clay and his groomsmen looked sharp in their black tuxes with black ties.

The bride and groom chose to have their beloved dog, Anka, as their ring bearer. Our floral designer made a floral collar and leash to match the bridesmaids’ bouquets. As they said their “I do’s,” Anka could be heard whining in the front row, wanting to go on stage with her parents. She made it through the whole ceremony and when everyone walked down the aisle for the recessional, she made a dash for it to be reunited with mom and dad. She was the perfect ring bearer and very well behaved throughout the night!

After they took their pictures in the ballroom, guests were then seated and the wedding party was
announced. As the guests ate dinner — with a choice of blackened snapper or pork tenderloin, boursin mashed potatoes, and sautéed green beans— the bride and groom made their way around the room and spoke to each table individually. Toasts were then made by the bride’s friend and sister, followed by the groom’s best man. Nicholette’s father took the mic after that and gave a very eloquent speech that made everyone laugh — and cry.

Nicholette and Clay took the dance floor for their first dance, followed by the father- daughter dance and the mother-son dance. After that, the dance floor was open to everyone and the party really began! They had an anniversary dance and gave a bouquet to a couple that has been together for over 50 years! Shortly after that, the cake was cut, and guests were treated to Tiff’s Treats cookies. After more dancing, the bride and groom took the floor once more for a final dance. The guests then lined up outside for a sparkler send-off and the beautiful night came to an end.

October 26th was a gorgeous, romantic evening that we will never forget. We are honored to have hosted this beautiful couple’s wedding here at Villa St. Clair!
