Save the date 

6-8 months before

After seeing your proposal pictures on Facebook for months, your friends and family are waiting patiently to learn when you're going to tie the knot. Sending a save the date helps your friends and family plan for your wedding. 


6 to 12 weeks before

You invitations is are great way to set the tone or announce the theme of your wedding. This the time to let your creative juices flow. While you should send out your invitations four to twelve weeks before your wedding, you should probably order your invitations a month or two earlier to account to design turnover, delivery, and addressing your invitations. 

Menus, programs, place cards, and signs

4 to 6 weeks

If you are thinking of having any day of designs the best time to order them is with your invitations, but at the latest these things should be ordered four weeks before your wedding. 

Thank you cards 

1 to 3 weeks after 

As a rule of thumb thank you card should be sent one to three weeks after you receive the gift.
