Megan and Jim’s wedding on March 4th was filled with loved ones and lavender. Megan, a geriatric doctor, and Jim, a diving coach at the University of Austin, met online and soon knew that this was forever.

The couple’s love of the outdoors was perfectly represented by the décor found all around Villa St. Clair. As guests entered, they were asked to add to the ‘Guest Tree’, their unique spin on a traditional guest book. Guests stamped their fingerprints to create the leaves of the couple’s new tree. From the wood centerpieces adorned with beautiful bouquets, lavender, candles, and draping greenery, to the menus tied with twine and sprigs of lavender, to the personalized wooden cake stand with the rose and succulent decorated cake, their style was beautifully expressed.

Megan and Jim planned for a beautiful garden ceremony for their Spring wedding when the Texas weather turned. Rain was in the forecast. While some couples would be devastated over the harsh weather and last-minute changes, Megan and Jim did not let it rain on their parade. With a quick flip, the garden ceremony was moved inside to the ballroom using the same beauty and natural elegance they planned for.

The classic white aisle runner laid the foundation for the flower girl, who tossed ivory rose petals and lavender before Megan’s grand entrance. The bridesmaid’s lavender colored dresses perfectly complimented the groomsmen’s boutonnieres and tied together the elegant décor of the reception. Since the couple wanted everyone they loved to be a part of this day, the wedding party included the couple’s dog, Bella. Her wreath matched the flowers in the Megan’s bridesmaid’s bouquets and the flower girl’s crown.
To symbolize the joining of their two lives becoming one, Megan and Jim planted and watered a fern together. As the years go on, much like their love, the fern will grow and flourish.
As the recessed out of the ceremony their gusts showered them in lavender buds signifying luck and devotion in their new union.

After the ceremony, the ballroom transformed into the reception space for dinner and dancing. Neither the couple nor the guests gave a second thought to the weather outside; it was all smiles all night long. An insta-worthy photo booth gave guests a laugh and an opportunity to snap some personized pictures with the bride and groom. To top of the night the guests were served Cheddar Popcorn and Chocolate Donut Holes with Strawberry Pop-Rocks as a fun late-night snack!

After a romantic evening, Megan and Jim made their sparkler exit before driving off together in their vintage get-away car.

Congratulations Megan and Jim!
