Your wedding day can be a stressful time, but here are a few things to reduce your stress and help you enjoy the morning of your wedding.

Sleep

As hard as you try, you probably will not sleep well the night before your wedding. You will be filled with anticipation and excitement as you anxiously await your nuptials, but going to sleep early can help you get the most sleep possible. Before you close your eyes, make sure you set your alarm so that you have plenty of time for any last minute emergencies in the morning.

 Coffee

Even with your best efforts to rest, you will probably be exhausted the morning of your wedding, so the first order of business is finding coffee (or caffeine of any kind). If you go to Starbucks and tell them its your wedding day, they will write “Bride” on your cup and you can even have them label each of the bridesmaids’ cups accordingly. This is a simple touch that everyone is sure to love.

Water

Lack of sleep combined with caffeine can spell disaster if you don’t stay hydrated, so make sure that you have plenty of water on hand. Everyone will probably be excited and not even think about water, but you want to make sure that nobody passes out due to dehydration. So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. *Disclaimer: all of that water will most likely make you have to use the restroom, so make sure you go before you put your dress on, because once its on, going to the restroom will not be an easy task.

 Time to Relax

With all of the hustle and bustle of the day, you are going to need some alone time to reflect and prepare yourself for the evening and night ahead. Set aside some time to yourself so that you can relax and calm your nerves. Also, have an emergency kit packed and ready before your big day so that you won’t have to worry about any problems that come up on the day of.

Don’t forget to capture the fun moments that you and your bridesmaids have while getting ready. Take a few shots of everyone getting their hair and makeup done, and some fun shots in full hair and makeup before putting your dresses on. You can frame these pictures and give them to your bridal party as gifts after the big day.
