Yay! You made the guest list and are now making arrangement to go to your friends wedding. As you are packing, you are faced with the biggest question every guest has: What in the heck am I going to where?

Don't fear, Here is a break down of wedding attire terminology and outfit ideas to have you looking your best.

Casual Attire

When you read causal on your invitation, think of smart casual or dressy casual. This is not the time to show up in your plain t-shirt and jorts. Men should not wear jean, but instead look into some slackers and nice button up. Ties are optional.  Think playful sundresses and plain heels or strappy sandals for women.

Semi-formal Attire

Semi-formal can be confusing for people. This is the best time to make a fashion statement. For men a standard neutral color suit works best. You can add color and style with a bright bow tie or pocket square and there's no need to pull out a cummerbund. Bright suits should only be worn if you know for sure you look damn good in it. Cocktail and black-tie optional are both forms of semi-formal attire.  Women should look for knee to floor length dresses in fabrics like chiffon or satin. This is also the time accessories with eye-catching bling and sparkling heels.

Black Tie Attire

It's not too often you get a chance to truly dress up for an event, so why not take advantage of it. Guys should wear a tuxedo, pleat shirt, and cummerbund or waistcoat. You should also get some nice cuff links. Girls take out your best jewels and your high heels! This is your chance to to show off in a brilliantly colored gown that complements your figure. You will rarely have the chance to dress up so take this opportunity to treat yo' self.
